At this year’s Google I/O, Google stated that a Pixel tablet would be available in 2019. The company may also be developing a Pixel Tablet Pro variant , and that device may possibly be released in 2023.

Next year, a pro-pixel tablet might also be released. The source of this information is 9to5Google, which claims to have discovered indications of this. What precisely is happening? The tangor codename refers to the Pixel tablet that Google mentioned in May.

The source also discovered the codename tangorpro, which essentially denotes a Pro version of the tablet. These codenames may alternatively be referred as t6 and t6pro.

Advertisement This wouldn’t be wholly unexpected. There are normal and pro editions of the Google Pixel 6 series, and we’ve even seen the Pixel Buds Pro. We simply don’t know what the Pro edition will add to elevate the product to the Pro level.

There is one detail, though. The Pro model, according to the source, will include a different rear camera sensor. But it’s still unclear what kind of sensor it will be. It was previously claimed that the Sony IMX355 sensor used in the Pixel 3, 4, 5, and 6a will also be included in the ordinary Pixel tablet.

Considering this, might the Pixel Tablet Pro be equipped with the 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN1 camera that was used in the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro? It’s possible, but at this point, we can only speculate.

Advertisement It is anticipated to offer better hardware compared to the standard model. We also anticipate that the hardware will differ slightly. Just changing the camera won’t be enough to earn the Pro moniker. Maybe a little different in terms of materials or design, plus stronger internals? like perhaps additional RAM and a better monitor.

It’s possible that Google decides to use the Tensor G2 within the Pixel Tablet Pro and the Google Tensor inside the Pixel Tablet. Again, since this is just conjecture, anything is conceivable.

During its press conference on October 6, Google may refer to either of these tablets or both of them.
