NXP Semiconductors, a supplier of automotive ICs, and ODM Inventec have announced a partnership to build a local automotive electronics industry ecosystem in Taiwan.
The ecosystem will focus on five modules: e-cockpits, central gateways, vehicle-grade servers, ultra-wideband smart car access systems, and vehicle-grade wireless chargers.
To develop “Server in Car,” which transforms automobiles into mobile workplaces, Inventec chairman Tom Cho said the company will concentrate on electric controllers.
Sales director for Greater China at NXP, Elton Tsang, stated that communication between the two businesses has been easy.
Inventec has struggled to draw in automotive clients while being the fourth-biggest notebook ODM and the world’s largest supplier of server motherboards.
