A few months off from its official release, Android 13 has just recently achieved platform stability, but Samsung is already hard at work on its own interpretation of the update. One UI 5.0, Samsung’s response to Android 13, would, among other modifications, improve animations, claims a recent report.

WITH ANDROID 13 WILL COME ONE UI 5.0 SamMobile claims that Samsung will soon deploy One UI 5.0 with Android 13; the update will first be made available through a beta program. This doesn’t really come as a surprise because it confirms certain earlier rumors.

Samsung’s redesign, One UI 4.0, debuted with Android 12 and was followed by One UI 4.1, which added a few additional small improvements.

A faster animation is planned. The first hint of what Samsung’s One UI 5.0 and Android 13 will truly include makes this report more noteworthy. It seems that compared to One UI 4.0, animations will be much faster in One UI 5.0. One UI 5.0 is rumored to drastically speed up UI animation.

In the broad scheme of things, this is most obviously a small tweak, but it will undoubtedly have an impact on how Samsung’s software feels. It will probably lead to a more fluid experience. That’s always good news, especially given that Samsung smartphones currently frequently feature 120Hz displays.

According to rumors, Samsung will launch the One UI 5.0 beta as soon as July 2022.
