now available is Google’s list of the YouTube Music features that were introduced in April and May. The major changes have already been discussed, but YouTube Music has also made a number of smaller modifications to the radio and shuffle.

Longer YouTube Music playlists on Android and when using Casting are no longer automatically reshuffled after a few songs as of April. Similar to this, the team resolved a rare yet very visible issue issue last month where radios kept recommending the same artists.

In order to better support lean-back listening (and save you the effort of constantly looking for the next excellent song to play yourself! ), we also created some improvements that aim to measure your level of attention during the listening experience. YouTube Music now displays a More from YouTube shelf while searching for songs, surfacing live and acoustic versions, remixes, and well-known covers in addition to the original recording. This modification is intended to highlight the benefit of YouTube’s repertoire in particular:

When trying to focus on a task or relax, the Focus and Relax moods introduced a Long listening shelf to make it simple to access high-quality music videos for longer listening sessions. This is included at the very bottom of those feeds and will soon be added to other activity filters.
