Xbox Game Pass will have a Samsung Smart TV app later this year, matching Stadia’s ability to buy games for streaming.

Microsoft shared revealed their vision for gaming today, with an unexpectedly strong emphasis on new additions and improvements to Xbox Game Pass streaming. The ability to broadcast and play games that you’ve purchased is a feature that supporters of cloud gaming have long wished for.

Hundreds of games are currently instantly playable through Game Pass Ultimate, but as the library evolves over time, it’s likely that you’ll lose access to games you like. Later this year, customers to Game Pass Ultimate will be able to stream some of the games they’ve bought.

Hey, we would love to be able to stream games that we own, even if they aren’t in the Game Pass library, was one of the things that “gamers” informed us. As a result, starting this year, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to stream both games they buy and games they currently own via the cloud, provided that they are included in the catalog and have cloud functionality.

Microsoft also disclosed a collaboration with Samsung to create a Game Pass Streaming app for televisions in the near future. On June 30, the app will debut on Samsung Smart TVs from the 2022 generation. It may be accessed under the Gaming Hub. As previously mentioned, Microsoft also plans to investigate more TV agreements for Game Pass in the future for those of us who bought something in a different TV environment.

For early access game creators and players Additionally, Microsoft has introduced Project Moorcroft, which enables players to try out early versions of upcoming Xbox titles. Players will gain by being able to play games before they are released, and developers will profit from the preview time by receiving insightful feedback. Later this year, Microsoft will start opening up Project Moorcroft to independent developers.

And last, Xbox Game Pass streaming is currently being made available in Argentina and New Zealand. This includes games from Windows, Android, iOS, and other platforms. With these upgrades, Game Pass streaming is now accessible in 28 different international locations.
