Google is currently distributing Privacy Sandbox Developer Preview 3, which includes APIs for conversion measurement, custom audiences, and ad selection, after the initial release in late April.

With today’s release, there are two significant upgrades based on Android 13. Developers can track when a conversion—such as the download of a new game—occurs as a result of ad clicks or view events using the Event-Level and Aggregate Attribution Reporting APIs . These APIs function on the web and in apps without the need for third-party user identification.

The Custom Audience and Ad Selection APIs, which are a part of FLEDGE’s on-device browser auctions for selecting relevant advertisements from previously visited websites, provide the foundation for providing consumers with tailored ads based on their usage of prior apps.

Today’s release, which comes after DP2 in mid-May, adds the SDK Runtime and Topics API to the Privacy Sandbox. Beginning in July, all developer previews for APIs and the SDK Runtime will be upgraded to Regular updates .

On the Pixel 4, 4a, 5, 5a, 6, and 6 Pro or using an Android emulator, You can install Privacy Sandbox Developer Preview 3. No Pixel 4 XL build is available.

For the end of 2022, an Android privacy sandbox beta release for consumer mobile devices is still planned.
