THROUGH A NEW UPDATE, THE MICROSOFT SURFACE DUO ANDAMP; DUO 2 WILL BOTH HAVE IMPROVED SECURITY. The software update for the Surface Duo is version 2022.519.29. The Duo 2 will instead receive software version 2022.519.47. The Duo 2 update is 51MB in size, and the first-generation Surface update should be similar in size, though we can’t confirm that just yet.

As usual, this update is being distributed over the air to both devices (OTA). However, keep in mind that it can take some time for the update to reach your phone. As is typical for OTA updates, this update is being staged.

It is anticipated that Android 12L will release soon. There are no significant adjustments or added features here. But it’s always pleasant to see a fresh security update appear. However, we’re still waiting for Microsoft to update both smartphones to Android 12L.

If you’re eager, you can manually check to see if the update has been released instead of waiting for your phone to notify you. All you have to do is go to System in the Settings app on your phone. There, you must first choose System Update before checking for updates.

If the business intends to follow the same release schedule as the Surface Duo 2, the third-generation device should debut next month or by October at the latest. However, we haven’t yet noticed any leaks, so this is still up in the air.
