The Galaxy Watch 4 is getting an actual schedule for one of its most anticipated features as its one-year anniversary approaches. This summer marks the official launch of Google Assistant on the Galaxy Watch 4.

The Galaxy Watch 4 series will feature Google Assistant, according to a blog post from Samsung ( post ), and it will launch sometime over the summer of 2022, which means it might happen soon. Samsung declares

I’m happy to announce that Google Assistant, which offers quicker and more natural voice interactions and enables rapid replies and on-the-go help, will be available for download to Galaxy Watch4 users this summer.

Last year, soon after the lineup’s debut, Samsung for the first time announced that Google Assistant would be added to the Galaxy Watch 4. But in the months that have passed since, the business has mainly kept a low profile, despite Google revealing the first glimpse of Google Assistant on the Watch 4 and now on its own Pixel Watch. Similar to Google, Samsung claims that a crucial component of this new experience would be quick answers.

Additionally, Samsung claims that it is collaborating with Google to bring more Watch 4 apps and services that have been tailored for Galaxy Watches. Though what this means is unclear, it is generally safe to assume that Google will update some of its current applications to better accommodate One UI Watch. For instance, the Watch 4s app drawer displays a pixelated icon for Google Pay.
