Although the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4’s release is most likely still a few months away, many leaks have surfaced recently. We got our first peek at the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s design today.

The first CAD-based renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 showcase the design of Samsung’s flagship folding phone, thanks to the well-known @OnLeaks through SmartPrix . Although there is no obvious radical overhaul, it is obvious that Samsung is working to improve this design.

The camera module design of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, as seen in these pictures, may be its most distinctive design element. The lenses are the only protrusions from the rear of the phone; the camera sensors are not housed in a separate module. This design, which was taken from the Galaxy S22 Ultra, is one that we were genuinely happy to see. It has a fantastic appearance and functions even better with the trio of sensors on the Fold than it does with the spider-like five sensors on the Ultra. It is been claimed that the Fold will also use the Ultra’s camera sensors, which would be fantastic news.

The actual size of the leak is the other key finding. It appears that the Fold 4 will be a little thicker than the Fold 3 at 155x130x7.1mm as opposed to 158.2 x 128.1 x 6.4mm. The width and height of the phone also change by a few millimeters, as suggested by other recent leaks.

In the meantime, Ice Universe has claims has information on the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s weight. Samsung’s foldable appears to have lost a substantial amount of weight, making it lighter than the iPhone 13 Pro. In other words, under 260g . Given that the current Galaxy Z Fold 3 weighs more than 270g, this difference would be felt in the hand. It’s undoubtedly excellent news because the Fold’s weight has occasionally made it seem a little clumsy.

If all goes as planned, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 should be released in August.
