When Android Auto is wireless, it is more useful, and dongles have made this astonishingly simple over the past few years. AAWireless was the first dongle to make that process simple, and it has now successfully completed its Indiegogo campaign.

Update 8/29: AAWireless successfully launched its wireless Android Auto adapter on both its own website and Amazon after declaring in May that it will transition to formal direct sales.

However, the product is eventually, formally graduating from the platform and ending the campaign after a few years on Indiegogo. AAWireless’ Emil Borconi-Szedressy thanked everyone for the extremely successful crowdfunding campaign and announced that AAWireless is now available via the company’s website in all countries a few days before the Indiegogo page was completely shut down.

We want to express our gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support over the past two years. It’s time to say goodbye to this extremely successful crowdfunding campaign because AAWireless is now fully released and available for purchase from our website ( https://aawireless.io ) as well as through Amazon in the US. Without your help, this campaign would not have been possible.

Here is our initial coverage.

The creators of AAWireless announced in an update to backers today that they have now been able to keep up with demand for the product and have begun to stock up in various parts of the world. In the near term, this means that ordering an AAWireless device through the Indiegogo campaign will result in a weeklong delivery time.

There are thousands of pieces available at the time of posting, and it appears that shipments are sent out every Monday. The business informed 9to5Google in a private chat that after items are dispatched in the United States, they typically arrive in 2-3 days.

The better news is that AAWireless will soon move to direct sales through the business’s own web store, which means it will depart Indiegogo.

For customers outside of North America and Europe, the new website will be live in the middle of June. At a later time, as the business completes the last preparations for selling through its own store, sales will be expanded to those significant markets.

The group clarifies:

Our goal is to launch a brand-new website and web shop by the middle of June. We will first make the store accessible to users outside the EU and the US. We are doing this because we still need to make a few more preparations before we can ship from our own webshop to the EU and the US. Naturally, you can still make a purchase via Indiegogo. We will eventually open up the webshop to the rest of the world.

The first wireless Android Auto dongle was AAWireless, and it’s still one of the best. In our review, the $90 dongle worked well, and it has advantages over the Motorola MA1 in terms of firmware updates and other, finer-grained settings.
