On Thursday, Motorola unveiled its third-generation Edge series smartphone. The Edge 2022 delivers a powerful punch well beyond its $499 starting price. If you now use T-Mobile or intend to move to the Un-carrier, you can get the phone for free with a qualifying line when it arrives in the US.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE MOTOROLA EDGE 2022 The first smartphone to use MediaTek’s new Dimensity 1050 CPU is the Motorola Edge 2022. It is a 6nm chipset with six Cortex-A55 cores running at a maximum frequency of 2.0 GHz and two Cortex-A78 CPU cores operating at 2.5 GHz. The Mali G610 MC3 GPU is available for graphics work. The processor is combined with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of fixed storage by the Lenovo-owned business.
Both 5G connectivity at mmWave and sub-6GHz are supported by the Dimensity 1050. So the Motorola Edge 2022 is ready for whichever flavor of 5G your carrier delivers. Additionally, the 5,000mAh battery should be sufficient to support 5G usage for an entire day. The smartphone supports 30W TurboPower charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.
