The stable One UI Watch 4.5 update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series has started to be rolled out by Samsung. The new software set for its 2021 smartwatches, which is based on Wear OS 3.5, has been in beta testing by the company since early June. It has delivered as many as five beta releases in the last three months. Global users are currently receiving the stable version.

Firmware version R870XXU1GVH2 contains the major software upgrade for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The OTA (over the air) package for beta users measures roughly 95MB in size. The upgrade is almost 900MB in size if you are directly receiving the stable version, though. The size of this OTA download may differ slightly depending on the model.

This update contains a lot to discuss. It brings includes the compatible new features that Samsung announced on the Galaxy Watch 5 series last month. You now have updated watch faces that provide more style and customization options. You can save watch faces as favorites so you can discover them easily in the future. New watch face complexities are also available.

Advertisement Your Galaxy Watch 4 will allow you choose a SIM for calling if it is connected to a dual SIM phone. You can either manually choose the alternative SIM or have it follow the phone’s preferred SIM settings. Which SIM you are using for a particular call will be shown on the watch. Additionally enhanced by this update are messages, settings, bixby, the keyboard, and notifications.
