You might not be the only one if your Spotify app on Android has been faulty and won’t load when launched because Spotify is investigating into the issue.

Spotify acknowledged a problem that prevents the Android app from fully starting and keeps it trapped on the splash screen without loading the remainder of the app this week in an thread on its community forums.

For those impacted, the Spotify logo becomes frozen on the screen, stopping users from starting the playback of their music or podcasts and from browsing the collection. According to user stated, the issue first surfaced when they tried to switch to using SD card storage, and it continued even after they uninstalled the application. After they logged out, another user on Reddit discovered the issue, as PiunikaWeb indicated.

Despite the fact that the issue doesn’t seem to be widespread based on the number of user reports that have been made public so far, Spotify claims to be looking into it right now.

Android users are reporting that when the app is loaded, it freezes at the Spotify logo and won’t load any further. This is being looked into.

It’s not known how prevalent the problem is or which app versions are impacted. In order to sort through reports, Spotify is requesting that users who are experiencing the issue leave their device model, Android version, and Spotify version number in the comments section.
