We looked at the first-party cases for the Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, but after six months of usage and abuse, dozens of cases and covers, we’ve narrowed it down to a select few that we think you’ll adore.

It’s quite acceptable if not everyone wants to spend $30 on a smartphone case. Due to this, we examined a variety of Pixel 6 cases for both the ordinary and Pro variants at varying price points. If a less expensive alternative is available, we’ll even recommend it. All have undergone testing and work well with the majority of screen protectors.

The best premium case is MOUS LIMITLESS 3.0.

Rugged cases are frequently heavy, awkward, and typically rather unsightly. The Mous Limitless 3.0 case lineup refutes that. In order to lessen the effects of even the biggest impacts, the design incorporates bouncy cushioning around all sides of your phone’s chassis. I can testify for the protection because I tested it with the Limitless 3.0 design on the Pixel 4 series, and it really lives up to the extravagant Mous billing.

Your screen has raised lips around all of its corners, so laying face down on a table or even dropping it will give you a little extra coverage regardless of the direction it is thrown. The camera bar on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro is also shielded from harm by a strengthened frame, but none of the lenses are covered. Additionally, the addition of the leather, walnut wood, and aramid fiber finishes is done tastefully.

You may combine it with other accessories in a manner akin to the MagSafe area of the most recent iPhone series thanks to a magnetic patch hidden inside the rear panel. Thus, outstanding full chassis protection is also offered along with mounts like an Mous Limitless 3.0 1 or Mous Limitless 3.0 2. There is a soft touch fabric lining and space for two more SIM cards within the case. These premium Pixel 6 covers from Mous Limitless 3.0 3 offer top-notch defense for your flagship smartphone, but in our opinion, the Mous Limitless 3.0 cases are well worth the money.

The Caseogy Vault Extreme silicone

One of our top selections for a silicone case is the light green Caseolgy Vault, which is the ideal companion for the Sorta Seafoam Pixel 6. This one-piece casing belies its small Mous Limitless 3.0 4 because to the amazing tactile matte surface.

The camera bar and upper part of your phone have a textured or hatching finish that completely envelops the curved glass of the lenses, while the back of your phone has a sandstone-like texture that helps with grip. In my experience, no other case offers the camera bar the same level of protection, and although initially appearing odd, it is remarkable in its own right. Although the button coverings on all of the buttons have a slight sandstone texture for added grip, you still hear that pleasant click that is sometimes diminished by silicone casings.

AER LIQUIDE SPIGEN Every day, more grip

Spigen Liquid Air case for Pixel 6

The Liquid Air case, like the rest of the Spigen case family, is an ideal match for virtually any smartphone, notably the Pixel 6 series. It’s not only that Spigen produces some of the best third-party cases for almost any Android; there are other reasons as well. The prices are reasonable, and the designs are the same across the entire line of smartphones.

For many years, I used the Spigen Liquid Air as my personal go-to case, and the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are no different. It feels different from anything else and has one of the most grippy surfaces on your Pixel, just like a rubber tire grabs the road. Another small detail that elevates the Liquid Air beyond other $15 options is its ridged power button.

OTTERBOX HYPOTHESIS Almost obvious

You undoubtedly want to flaunt your colorful Pixel 6 model while also making sure it is completely protected. The Otterbox Symmetry cover offers an extremely intriguing glitter finish that livens up the simple hues of the Pixel 6 Pro in particular. There are several strong clear cases from brands like Mous Limitless 3.0 5.

Not only that, but it also has a sturdy design rather than a silicone finish that is sticky. All parts of your Pixel 6 or 6 Pro should be properly protected, including a hard plastic case for the camera bar, and it could easily resist a drop. Otterbox phone cases haven’t always worked well with screen protectors, but they do with almost all of the ones we’ve tried, including the Whitestone Dome Glass.

OWNED BY GOOGLE, THE PIXEL 6 DEFENSIVE DEVICE PROTECTION

Update (05/26): We advise considering other solutions on this list because several Pixel 6 owners have reported problems with the official TPU cases in terms of discolouration, yellowing, and warping. Although this is not always the case, TPU cases can age and warp. Below is an illustration of the problems owners are having with the Golden Glow case for the Pixel 6 Pro.

If you want to purchase a first-party official case, we advise choosing the Stormy Sky color option. Although this hue seems to be less prone to fading and yellowing, you might still have warping over time, which is sometimes a problem with TPU and silicone cases.

Google produces a number of officially-branded Pixel 6 cases that are the ideal addition to your smartphone, as you might anticipate. They are not the best cases you can purchase, but at least they are made to work with your phone and offer protection in all of the crucial places.

Even if the cost of the official Pixel 6 cases is hefty at $29, it is still less than the traditional cloth options. However, this should mean a few things, just like any official case. First off, a better fit. Secondly, a more attractive device design. All cases are semi-transparent and emphasized to specific device colors, which is the only drawback. If you absolutely can’t decide, our recommendation is to choose the muted Stormy Sky smokey black hue, though it looks best if you match the color to your phone.

With soft rubberized corners that make each case simple to fit and remove and nothing obstructing access to crucial ports, Google offers a decent balance of protection and quality. Instead of offering a fresh perspective on how a device protection case should look, each Google case looks much more like an extension of the Pixel 6 design.

TACTILE INCIPIO GRIP

Incipio Grip case for Pixel 6

With the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, Google really bet the farm on large phones. This implies that even the supposedly smaller Pixel 6 can be challenging for those with little hands to use effectively. Fortunately, that is what the Incipio Grip cases for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are intended to do. It is simple to move and turn even the enormous Pixel 6 Pro in your hands without slipping or sliding in your palm thanks to raised, gripping ledges on the phone’s sides.

The Incipio Grip’s deceptively small and lightweight design, which is actually constructed of a strong plastic that repels dirt but adds a substantial layer of protection to go along with the rubbery side bumps, is a significant advantage over other grip-oriented cases. The higher lip that surrounds the camera bar appears to provide protection around that crucial back glass section.

Case for Bellroy leather for the Pixel 6, the best leather case

On the Pixel series, premium leather cases are hard to get, but Bellroy, an Australian company, offers some of the only Google-approved choices. Even if options are limited, according to our own Ben Schoon, the Bellroy Leather case is still among the best you can buy and, for those who enjoy leather goods, is well worth the $50 purchase price.

Although Bellroy’s material lacks the patina, creases, or wear that are characteristic of real leather and leather-based materials, you can still choose from some absolutely stunning color variations. With beautiful button covers, accurate cuts, and a sleek design that doesn’t obstruct your valued asset, the Pixel 6, it succeeds everywhere else.

Anccer thin fitting Low-cost and cheerful

The Anccer slim fit case is going to be the best option if you want extremely light protection for your Pixel 6 or 6 Pro that is also, most crucially, inexpensive. You can acquire a really thin plastic casing that will cover the edges of your phone for Mous Limitless 3.0 6 and Mous Limitless 3.0 7 without spending a fortune.

There aren’t many covers for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro that are better if you just want to protect against minor damage because they are only 0.35mm thick and have rather large cutouts for button and port access.
