The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has appeared in its first real-world images this weekend, just in time for Samsung’s upcoming wave of foldable smartphones.

THE GALAXY Z FLIP 4 DESIGN LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME Ironically, it was precisely one month ago today when we first saw the Galaxy Z Flip 4 design. According to CAD-based renderings, the phone would look almost exactly like the Galaxy Z Flip 3 with a two-tone exterior, a vertical twin camera setup, and a small outside display.

TechTalkTV posted to Twitter an image collection showcasing the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in real life, in particular in its black color. The device’s top panel is made of matte glass with glossy glass covering the display area. Although the display seems to be around the same size, the borders are not visible in any of these images. Since the Flip 3’s black version and some other colors were matte, matte glass in particular wouldn’t be novel to the series.

Apart from that, we can see the hinge and the side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Although there have been rumors that Samsung is changing the hinge design, the side of the device doesn’t seem to have undergone any alterations. The Flip 4’s two sides indeed appear to be much closer together when fully opened. Additionally, the metal border is much thinner.

HOW MUCH OF THE GALAXY Z FLIP 4 IS REALLY NEW? What has changed on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 that we can’t see in these photos? So far, we’ve heard a few tidbits.

First off, a newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU is anticipated, along with greater storage options, in the gadget. Additionally, a less obvious display wrinkle is said to be present on the Flip 4.

The battery is anticipated to undergo the biggest improvement, increasing from 3,300 mAh to 3,700 mAh. That’s undoubtedly good news because the Flip 3’s battery was one of the device’s biggest flaws in our opinion.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is anticipated to launch in August 2022 and should cost around $999, similar to the Flip 3 before it.
