Overall, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 was a fantastic product and a wonderful value. We now have our first indication of what Samsung will charge for the Galaxy Watch 5, and it points to a modest hike.

The price of Samsung’s next Galaxy Watch 5 may be slightly increased, claims Roland Quandt of WinFuture. Based on the rates in Europe, it appears that Samsung is raising the cost of its base model by about 30 Euros.

According to Quandt, the base model Galaxy Watch 5 will cost roughly 300 Euros in its 40mm size, and 350 Euros in its 44mm size. The LTE models, at 350 and 400 respectively, will add 50 Euro to those costs.

In contrast, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 series pricing, at least in Germany , began at 269 Euro for the 40mm size and 299 Euro for the 44mm variant. The Watch 4 starts at $249 and goes up to $299 for the 44mm version in the United States, where the costs are quite similar. Expecting a $3050 price increase for the new models sounds plausible.

There is no Galaxy Watch 5 Classic on the way, as has been reported and demonstrated in one of Samsung’s apps. However, Samsung offers the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in its lineup in its stead, and it appears to be an expensive option.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, according to Quandt, will cost roughly 490 euros for the Bluetooth-only device and 540 euros for the LTE version. That means Samsung may charge significantly more than $400 for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in the US, but it is yet unclear what the price will be. There is always a lot of possibility for converting error when there are leaks of international prices.

Finally, this leak supports Samsung’s planned color selections. It appears that the 44mm will switch pink gold for blue while the 40mm will only be available in pink gold, gray, and silver. It seems like titanium and black will be the only color options for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

The names of those colors were revealed in a leak from last week, and they are Black Titanium, Gray Titanium, Graphite, Silver, Sapphire (Blue), and Pink Gold.

In the middle of August, Samsung is anticipated to release the Galaxy Watch 5 series.
