With Android 12 QPR3, the Pixels Battery widget became simpler to find, and Android 13 will allow the homescreen object to occupy less space.
Update 6/9: Android 12 is already receiving these upgrades, which are part of Settings Services version 1.1.0.452445739.sr.

When merely showing the battery level of your Pixel phone, as is typically the case, the Battery widget’s smallest configuration on Android 12 is 22 and has a lot of empty space. The percentage bar now adjusts to fit the available space in Android 13 beta 2.

Today, Android 13 Beta 3 allows users to scale the Pixels Battery widget down to a tile-like 21. Additionally, there is a really clever 51 setup that can show the phone, left earphone, and right earbud all at once in a little and adorable way. At 41, two Pixel Buds are displayed side by side with your smartphone.

With this specific design change, the Android widget is less generic and more compatible with the resizable widget functionality of Material You. The design may change before the debut, but it is good enough right now. (Perhaps there will be Wear OS devices in the future, like the Pixel Watch.)

one more beta for Android 13 is anticipated for release next month, followed by a stable release at some point. Since Battery is no longer listed under the hazy Settings Services, this week’s stable version makes it simpler to locate and arrange Battery from the Widgets list.
