The OSOM OV1 was a brand-new Android smartphone based on the Essential design, but it has since been rebranded as the Solana Saga, a crypto/web3 device.

In order to deploy the Solana Mobile Stack to mobile devices because web3 is not currently designed for smartphones, OSOM and Solana have announced their alliance today. With the release of OSOM’s flagship Android smartphone, the Solana Saga, everything would change.

As it turns out, the OSOM OV1 and the Solana Saga have both concluded.

The Solana Saga will now be the OV1, according to A tweet from the official OSOM Twitter account, and we double-checked that information with OSOM’s PR staff.

OSOM made the following declaration:

The Solana Saga, a premium Android smartphone from OSOM and Solana, boasts unique functionality and features that are firmly linked with the Solana blockchain, making it simple and secure to transact in web3 and manage digital assets like tokens and NFTs.

OSOM is ecstatic to work with Solana to construct the Saga. The world needs innovative gear manufacturers to enable Web3, the future. According to Jason Keats, founder and CEO of OSOM Products Inc., developing an ecosystem that looks to the future without being constrained by outdated legacy ecosystems is incredibly fascinating.

Pre-orders for the Saga are now available in the US, Canada, and the UK using the form of a $100 deposit . If you change your mind later, deposits are returnable. You must deposit $1,000 in a Solana wallet to purchase the item in its entirety.

Beyond just focusing on web3, the Saga is also officially releasing its spec sheet today. It will be available in Q1 2023, according to information provided to Droid-Life . It contains a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, 12GB of RAM, a 6.55-inch 120Hz display, a 4,100 mAh battery with wireless charging, a 50MP primary camera, and a 12MP ultrawide camera.

Whatever the case, this is, um, a surprising change of events.
