An adult animated series called The Boondocks is based on the same-named comic strips. Aaron McGruder is the series’ creator. The first season of The Boondocks premiered on Cartoon Network on November 6, 2005. It was a unique television series created for Adult Swim, the network’s late-night programming block. The show was canceled after the premiere of season 4 on June 23, 2014. There are 55 episodes in all across the four seasons.
