In order to follow up on the midrange Nord 2 from the previous year, OnePlus has now announced the Nord 2T.

The Nord 2T contains relatively little tweaks and improvements over its predecessor, almost paying homage to the recently discontinued OnePlus T-series mid-cycle renewal path. Internal components and the basic design have mostly remained the same.

The display itself is a 6.43-inch FHD 90Hz flat AMOLED screen with an upper-left punch-hole notch and an in-display optical fingerprint sensor. The MediaTek Dimensity 1300, which is paired with 8 or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128 or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, is an internal upgrade by OnePlus for the Nord 2T.

With a 4,500mAh dual-cell being used once more, the battery capacity has not changed. The charging rate has increased to 80W, and it is now said to take less than 30 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%. Real-world circumstances, however, might change this.

The OnePlus Nord 2T’s camera hardware consists of a very well-known triple camera setup at the back, which consists of a 2-megapixel monochrome lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) to capture more of every scene. The selfie camera has electronic image stabilization and a 32-megapixel resolution (EIS).

The device comes pre-installed with OxygenOS 12.1 on top of Android 12. It is also eligible for two further full OS upgrades and three years of ongoing security updates. Prices for the OnePlus Nord 2T in Europe start at 399 euros for the 8/128GB model and 499 euros for the 12/256GB model. Both color options are Gray Shadow and Jade Fog. The Nord 2T will be available for pre-order at OnePlus.com starting on May 19 and will go on sale officially on May 24.

The Nord CE 2 Lite, an entry-level model for the mid-2022 OnePlus lineup, will join the Nord 2T. It uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor together with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage, and it has a 6.59-inch FHD 120Hz LCD panel. A 33W charger is included, and the battery’s capacity is 5,000mAh.

A 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens make up the triple rear camera configuration on the Nord CE 2 Lite. While the 16-megapixel selfie camera is rated.

The OnePlus Nor CE 2 Lite will launch with Android 12.1, and like the Nord 2T, it will receive at least two complete updates to the Android operating system and three complete years of routine security patches. In European regions, this more cost-effective package will start at 299 and come in Blue Tide and Black Dust hues.
