For Android tablets and other large screen form factors, Google said at I/O 2022 that it was revamping over 20 of its first-party apps. This also includes multitasking enhancements like the ability to drag photographs across apps, which Google Keep for Android now supports, in addition to visual redesigns.

To start , use split screen mode to open Google Keep and another app, such as Gmail, side by side. If there is an image in your note, long-press it for a little period of time until it pops out, and then drag it to the other application.

Additionally, Google Keep allows for the dragging of photographs into it (as seen in the last item below). With the widespread rollout of Google Keep for Android version 5.22.242.00.90, we can now easily input photos. We put it to the test on multiple Pixel phones and a Samsung tablet running Android 12.

In terms of the operating system, this capability has been around since Android 10; however, Google first showed it off in May with Photos, which has a great interface where the moved photo becomes a thumbnail. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like Gmail supports dragging attachments into other programs.
