There have been a ton of early Pixel units spotted recently, though not as many as the massive leaks we saw with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 4 a few years ago. A few days after attempts to sell the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro online, the Pixel 6a is now being sold online in advance of its official release.

There is a Facebook Marketplace listing up with someone trying to sell a Pixel 6a out of a region of Malaysia, as seen by our pal Nils Ahrensmeier over on Twitter . Even the username matches, suggesting that this is the same person that uploaded an unboxing of the item on TikTok. In local currency, the request is for RM2,2002,300, or just over $500.

Funny enough, this user has listed multiple Pixel 6a devices in the area on various websites. This guy is probably a reseller, as Brandon Lee brought to my attention. It appears to be the most likely response given that, according to their profile, they do have numerous other devices available for sale in addition to Pixels.

Even while these gadgets don’t seem to be in the prototype stage like the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro models were, they are nonetheless arriving a few months early. The Pixel 6a is now expected to be released on July 21 through conventional channels, which is probably why these have finished retail packaging.

Given that we do not know how the current owner received the device, there may be some legal concerns with the item. Of course, it is not in anyone’s best interest to acquire a device like this. Although it’s unknown, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Google tried to restrict these devices in the same way that it did with the recently discovered Pixel 7 units in the US.
