The One UI 4.1.1 update for Samsung’s foldable Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 is now available in the US. With this release, the former is also receiving Android 12L. Since last week, the pair has been receiving the most recent update in overseas markets.

The most recent version of Samsung’s Android-based proprietary software is One UI 4.1.1. The new One UI version, which made its debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldables last month, has recently been seeded to a number of other eligible devices, including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Tab S8, and Galaxy Tab S7 series. Recently, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 joined the group. Samsung is now releasing One UI 4.1.12 to the US versions of its 2021 foldables, following the deployment in other territories.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is getting for this Android 12L upgrade. The latter is a unique subset of Android that Google created to enhance user experience on large-screen devices like tablets and large foldables. It includes specialized features like an ever-present taskbar, updated gestures, simple split-screen and pop-up options, and more. For quicker multitasking, you can pin applications to the taskbar. Even better, you may pin app pairs so that you can access split-screen mode with a single tap.

Advertisement Naturally, since the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is only as big as a standard smartphone, it won’t have these capabilities. One UI 4.1.1, however, offers more. Samsung is introducing a function that enables text to be extracted from photos. Text is simple to copy and paste into other applications. On the basis of the text’s substance, the device even offers relevant activities. You can call the number straight away if it’s a phone number. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also getting new clock faces, video backgrounds, and cover screen themes.

THE GALAXY Z FOLD 3 AND FLIP 3 US VERSIONS ARE GETTING ONE UI 4.1.1. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 carrier-locked models are currently receiving the One UI 4.1.1 upgrade in the US. Both F926USQU1DVHB and F711USQU2DVHB are the new firmware versions. The carrier-locked variations ought to follow suit soon. Watch out for a notification about the OTA (over the air) release in the upcoming days if you use one of the two foldables. To manually check for updates, go to the Software update section of Settings and select Download and install.
