The US version of the Galaxy S22 series now has the September 2022 Android security patch from Samsung. The update is currently being distributed to the phones’ unlocked models. The business should soon include carrier-locked units as well.

The September SMR (Security Maintenance Release) was first made available to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in Europe last week. A few days later, Samsung stopped the updates for the first two while continuing them for the latter. The company gave no explanation for the stoppage, but it seems everything is working properly now. All three of the company’s most recent flagships are receiving the new security patch in a broad rollout.
