The limited distribution of Google’s Pixel series is one of the greatest problems, but it appears that Google is finally stepping up things a little. The Google Pixel 6a will be offered in India, marking the company’s first mobile device sales there in close to two years.

Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States are among the 12 nations where Google’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are sold. According to Google’s documentation , the next Pixel 6a will arrive in those same areas and make a comeback to Puerto Rico after Google bypassed the US island with its Pixel 5a.

The Pixel 6a will, however, be released in India later in 2022, the company said in a statement to Android Central . After almost two years, Google will finally release in India with its delayed debut. The brand’s most recent smartphone release for India was the Pixel 4a from 2020, which also made a delayed debut in India in October 2020.

It appears that the Pixel 4a was a hit in India, as Google announced its desire to focus even more on the Indian market at the beginning of 2021. However, that didn’t work out because the Pixel 5a was only released in the US and Japan, while the Pixel 6 series avoided the Indian market due to supply concerns.

Google may succeed in the Indian market, which is currently dominated by Xiaomi, Samsung, OnePlus, and other brands, thanks to the more potent Tensor chip inside and a competitive price.

The Pixel 6a’s exact price in India is still up in the air.
