Google is testing a Play Store update on Android that allows consumers to see more information about apps without having to open the complete listing, in addition to a raft of new developer capabilities at I/O 2022.

The icon, name, and rating are all displayed in carousels on Google Play, and three complete programs are shown before you have to scroll.

Although you still swipe left to see more, a design that is currently in testing changes this to lists. The promo text provided by the developer is now listed on Google, and the icon becomes slightly smaller. The complete grid view is still accessible by tapping the arrow.

On the basis of your recent activity and as recommended for you card/shelf, we are seeing this graphic update at the top. It does not appear on the Games or Books tabs, and Movies and TV will no longer be available as of this month. Only one Google Account out of the several we examined today has this update, which is not yet widely implemented.

The Google Play surfing experience is improved by this app list’s slightly less visually appealing approach because users are no longer forced to quickly browse by an app’s icon and name. As scrolling through the complete list would be somewhat intimidating, the old format is still in use.
