Google Keep is releasing a Material You redesign that updates the app and complements its recently introduced Tile for quicker note-taking, following the release of Camera for Wear OS last month.

When users go all the way to the top of the homepage, they can now see two notes instead of just one, making everything slightly more compact. A pill-shaped FAB that is similar to the new Camera app’s design allows you to “Create note” or “Create list.” With this facelift, the accent color of yellow is gone.

One of the small benefits of the makeover is that notes in the main view are placed in gray pills that contrast nicely with the black background. The new style helps Google Keep feel less utilitarian, which typified many initial Wear OS apps, as the program was formerly just white lettering on black.

Users are able to see a little bit more text per screen when perusing a note, which is always a positive.

The Material You makeover is included in Google Keep for Wear OS version 5.22.342.03.97, which is currently rolling out via the. The change is also more publicly accessible. This update occurs before the arrival of the Pixel Watch, which will give Google a second chance to make a strong impression with its wearable platform, next month.
