With Beta 2.1, Google is releasing a mid-cycle update for Android 13. This comes after the release from I/O 2022 two weeks ago.

Android 13 Beta 2.1, which is formally a minor upgrade and also includes stability enhancements, has reportedly fixed four issues based on end user and developer reports, according to the release notes :

fixed a bug that caused the search bar’s suggestions to be blank when you typed something in. Fixed a problem where hotspot activation can cause device crashes and restarts. Fixed an issue where a continuous call dialing sound might be heard in the background during a phone call. Devices that crashed and restarted after being disconnected from Android Auto have been fixed. However, even with Google app 13.20 (beta) installed, Pixel Launcher search is still malfunctioning and displays no text.
