Google wants to “offer security equipment and resources to AAPI-owned small businesses” in the form of Nest Cam Kits in collaboration with National ACE, the Asian American Federation, and the National Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (National ACE).

Three indoor, wired Nest Cams, a 12-month subscription to Nest Aware, and expert installation are all included in the AAPISTRONG Nest Cam Kit. The objective is to “assist these company owners achieve piece of mind, both during regular business hours and after closing time, and better protect their storefronts.”

Below are the complete eligibility requirements:

Employs 1 to 50 people Has been in operation for more than a year Is at least 51% owned by an Asian American, Pacific Islander, or Native Hawaiian (“AAPI”) Has a physical location (online stores are not eligible), Internet access, and a smartphone to use the Google Home app Operates in no more than three locations and is not a franchise Is not in the healthcare sector or a sector that caters primarily to children Employs at least one professional
