The company’s Expert RAW software is now available for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, giving Samsung’s top-tier foldable a new camera update.
Expert RAW is an advanced camera app for specific Samsung handsets, and it is now accessible through the Galaxy Store . The software gives users more precise control over shutter speed, ISO, focus, and other aspects of capturing pictures. Additionally, pictures are taken in RAW format, allowing for post-production editing in programs like Adobe Lightroom.
As Samsung had previously revealed earlier this year, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is now supported, according to the changelog for the most recent version of the Export RAW app. The Galaxy S21 Ultra, S21, and Galaxy S22 series all support the app.
The most recent update also adds various enhancements to image quality and processing for low-light shots. Samsung says:
A current list of the supported models (Galaxy Z Fold 3) quicker processing in low-light conditions. Enhancements to the image quality in various scenes. Notably, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, S20 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold 2 will still receive Expert RAW. If all goes as planned, those devices should receive access within the next two months. According to Samsung, they were all supposed to be supported within the first half of 2022.
With software version 1.0.02.6, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is now supported. Of course, this won’t instantly improve the foldable camera’s performance, which we recently compared and found to be adequate but unimpressive. However, it will undoubtedly give this camera additional versatility.
