On Instagram, your friends might tag you in posts that contain images or videos that you would not want to be seen on your profile. You may just hide them to make sure you’re not linked to any humiliating pictures or videos that other Instagram users can view when they visit your profile page. Here’s how to edit a single post using the mobile app:

Navigate to your tagged posts by tapping your profile picture in the bottom right corner. It is the third symbol just above your Instagram grid. Go to an Instagram post that has been tagged that you’d prefer to hide, then tap the profile symbol in the post’s lower-left corner to see the tagged users’ profiles. Hiding from my profile can be done by tapping on your username. Here’s how to hide many Instagram photos at once:

In the top-right corner, tap the three-line icon next to your profile photo, then select “Settings.” Navigate to “Privacy,” then pick “Posts.” Select “Manually Approve Tags” and then “Edit” next to “Tagged posts.” Choose every post in which you were tagged and that you want to keep hidden from your profile by clicking “Hide number of chosen posts” at the bottom. To finish, click ‘Hide from profile’. Enable the “Manually Approve Tags” switch under “Tagged Posts” if you want to select which images on other people’s accounts may include your username before they are tagged. By doing the aforementioned steps and selecting “Show on my profile,” all previously hidden tagged posts can be made visible once more. Remember that untagging yourself from a post on Instagram does not make you disappear from the post itself.
