You don’t need to wait for a new operating system to take use of the Pixel Battery widget’s ability to be downsized into smaller sizes, as we discovered in Android 13 Beta 3. On Android 12, a partial Wear OS appearance is being sent out along with an update to the Settings Services.
The Pixels Battery widget’s reduction in size is due to Settings Services version 220.127.116.112445739.sr. 22 was the prior small configuration, but 21 is now a possibility. As we mentioned the previous evening, there is a 51 size that can display three items simultaneously: a phone, a left earphone, and a right earbud. Pixel Buds and one percentage are combined at 41.
The percentage bar is currently resized to fill the available area in the meantime. The entire rectangle will be occupied if there is just one device. There used to be a lot of unoccupied room for users. Google also changed the Pixel Buds icon, which can now be visible below rather than on the cover above. Now, it’s a little more accurate.
The addition of a line item for Second devices, which counts linked Bluetooth hardware, is the other significant change made by this version.
Fitbit and Wear OS are included in this, although the Pixel Battery widget still doesn’t indicate the battery status. Although a count is not particularly helpful, it is a little quicker than using the Quick Settings tile. By tapping this item, the Settings page for Connected devices will be displayed.
Today, Settings Services 18.104.22.1682445739.sr, which was a component of Android 13 Beta 3, is being extensively distributed for Android 12.
