I guess I am... for now at least.

Curt Holman is kind enough to ask me a few questions for our local free newspaper The Creative Loafing.
Questions like:
What's your regular character as a puppeteer?
My character's name is "Lil' Tamo the Robot." Officially his job is to be the snarky straight man to Phineas J. Monkey's goofy clowning. But really it's just an excuse for Lil' Tamo to make jokes specifically for the parents who bring their kids to Uncle Grampa. No child has ever laughed at a Full Metal Jacket joke. But hey, who doesn't love a sarcastic robot who makes semiobscure movie references?
You can now download some Adult Swim shows through iTunes. Enjoy the non-sequitur-ness of Sealab 2021 Season 3 on the "comfort" of your iPod.

I'm not exactly sure why Cartoon Network, or Apple, or whoever... decided to start our iTunes downloads with Season 3... but there are some gems in that season. I would recommend Red Dawn, featuring a cameo from President Kennedy, and our own Ed Mundy. As well as The Order of Neptunati, an episode idea I originally came up with. It's got lots of secret society jokes, and a cameo from Miniature John Wilkes Booth, and The Deathstar of David.
Each episode costs $1.99... and while that might seem steep for an 11 minute episode, can you really put a price on laughter? Well Cartoon Network can, it's just shy of 2 bucks.
Cool, somebody made a soundboard for the Bizarro episode of Sealab.
The Goodbye ED Party Countdown:
T-Minus .0 hours to Party Launch.
PARTY IS A GO!
check back here all day and all night for "frequent" party updates:

1:15, Ed drinks his second beer.

Our new office pet, Otis. He never has to pee.

Ed Shall drink beer 15 minutes after the hour, on every hour.
SO IT IS WRITTEN, SO IT SHALL COME TO PASS!!
This friday we're having an office party. Our favorite co-worker named Ed is moving to New York City. Among other pre-party chores we've been doing this week, the office bathtub (so what?) was filled with all the Sealab toys we had in the office.
Partygoers will each receive a Sealab 2021 toy... while supplies last.
Today Justin from Atlanta Magazine was back at the office. We first met Justin when we were moving out of Williams Street and into our new office in East Atlanta. In addition to writing an article about Matt and Adam, and our new cartoon... he actually helped us move, except for the stuff in my bosses garage, the stuff covered in spiders... he didn't move that stuff so much.
Since then we've pretty much settled into our new place. I have to say, it's awesome. While Williams Street was a hive of activity, filled with super talented people we all respected. Our portion of the building was relegated to a tiny windowless cave. But we didn't mind, we were in Williams Street. Now our office is a bright sun-filled oasis of creativity. Plus my boss in going to build a horseshoe pit in the back yard.
I've been taking photographs of models for our new cartoon. We're going to base the characters on the faces of real people we've hired. My boss set up a little studio in the back room. My little digital camera has never been treated so professionally. I'm surprised at the quality of the images it takes when you have a tripod and enough light.
C-Dub finished painting the first of the Tyranid Warriors for our diorama at The 70-30 House in East @L. He hand painted all of these, then used a "dipping" process to give them an added layer of detail. Here they are in their macro photographed glory.
Be sure to check out the whole series of photographs here.
repeat.. we have gravel.
We've been doing a lot of drawing at work lately, so the diorama hasn't been updated very much. I did get a chance to glue wash some fake gravel to the playing board. The whole board now needs to be painted black. Then we'll work on adding the fake grass to the open pathes.
Meanwhile, Casey is still painting miniatures. When the first one gets finished I'll post a photo here.
Kurt stopped by the Sealab office this morning, he saw my post about Mr. Gregory L. Dill. He had heard of ol' Greg before. In fact he had in his hands another letter from Mr. Dill. This one was addressed to Adult Swim itself. But it regarded a promo they had run with a dancing model for Aqua Teen. He wanted to know more about the "A.T.H.F. Promo Ad Dancing Model. He asked her such questions as:
"What's your name and do you take dancing?"
He apparently really is a collector of information about famous people. Also, he is apparently an artist...
The Last New Episode of Sealab 2021 premiered on Adult Swim last night. It was called Sealab 2021 A Legacy of Laughter. Mack's got some news on it. It's sad to see the show come to an end.. scary even, but my bosses have been working on the one cartoon for 5 years. I think they're ready for something new. What is that somthing new?
We'll have to wait and see.
