iPhone Spotting.

Not due out until the 29th of this month at 6:00pm...

An iPhone was spotted in the wild by the guys at Engadget on the CalTrain commuter rail line that runs from SF to our Beloved Motherland. (Cupertino, CA) Independant confirmation appears to back up this sighting and it is believed to be real.

*swoons*

We've also recently caught wind of a memo stating that the iPhone will ONLY be available at Apple stores and "select" AT&T stores. Of the five AT&T stores in metro Atlanta NONE are getting iPhones. (we called them all) This means that if we want one the day of, we'll have to hump it down to the already overcrowded Lennox Mall Apple Store. Just like the rest of the Apple nerds. Boo.

Have you tried pre-ordering through AT&T? I'll bet you they can have it delivered to you the day of or the day after...

No dice.

There are no pre-orders for Apple products, and Apple is treating the iPhone no different. The iPhone will not be available for sale until 6:00pm Friday the 29th. No exceptions, Chancellor Steve Jobs has spoken.

are are are you really going to get one - right off of the bat?!

are you switching carriers - or is it working out perfectly to where you are a) already on cingular or b) your contract is up - and you are jumping ship?!

i am pretty in love with the magic that seems to be the iphone . . . but can't even think about it until February of 2008 - which is so stinking far away . . .

i just want to see it and mess around with it a bit . . .

it is like the wii times a really big number for me . . .

phew - i am done.

According to an AT&T store I just called (Cumberland) and the AT&T website, it looks like we're all covered at the AT&T stores locally in addition to the three Apple stores in the metro area.

Where did you get your info?

Huh, clearly from missinformed jerks. (like me)

I think I started my search too early, I may have to change my plans.
