Step on Spider

We went to the midnight showing of Spiderman 3 last night...
it's laugh out loud terrible.

While I wasn't a huge fan of the first two films, they certainly entertained me, and not in a snarky sit-back-and-laugh sort of way. And for the most part the villains have always been the best actors in the films. Willem Defoe's over the top performance in the first film was undeniably engaging. The beloved Alfred Molina delivers a quietly sinister Doc Oc in the second....

This time we get the guy from wings.

We saw the movie with an audience that went out of their way to see the film early, at midnight the night before it's release... Despite this, even our fellow Spidey fans turned on this film before the finish of the first act. They were laughing AT the film.

You are advised to avoid this summer shitburger.

Personally, Lowell from "Wings" has deeply terrified me in everything I have ever seen him in, "Wings" included. That guy is ten times as scary as Crystal Bernard, and that's saying something.

Shitburger or not, I still have to see this soon. If it doesn't entertain me in the way it's meant to, there's always the sheer schadenfreude of seeing the most expensive movie ever made fail miserably to fall back on.

Christian...
JP and Tommy here...the fact that we can log onto your website a day after seeing Shitburger-Man 3 in downtown Phoenix, AZ...and see that you have a similar distaste...makes me think you are truly a great dude!
Keep being great!

I thought it was good. Probably the best of the 3.

I don't know. Not enough talking about morality, and too many of those boring battle sequences. I think they could have fit at least twelve more villains into this. Maybe Arnold S. as the Ice Man, or Uma Thurman as my Super Ex Poison Ivy.

Rob - Let me know what you think of it.

JP and Tommy - Hey guys! Hope you're doing well.

John J. - *shrugs* I'm a big fan of Waterworld... so...

OverD - On the way out of the theatre I described the film as "Schumacher-esque"

I like the Waterworld Stunt Show at Universal. :D

But yeah, each person has his or her own tastes. I like very obscure movies.

I'm just really hoping they don't screw up with Transformers. x_x

Also... one thing I can admit... the game for Spidey 3 is even more betterer. :)
