** Ductdate Day 4.5 **
I just got another trade offer from The Land Downunder. Jeremy sent me a funny letter detailing his trade offer which includes a box of australian cookies, and a mysterious hand written secret formula for altering the cookies into something even more enjoyable.
So now the standings are:
- An Apple Cube (non-working, in pieces) from Meska
- A small Plastic Hermit Crab from Razooll
- An iThong (as seen on gizmodo) from Evan
- A pair of custom made hand knitted socks from Maxi
- A jar of delicious all-natural pumpkin preserve also from Maxi
- An Iron Becky Prize Pack (stickers, and 30 custom 1" clunky buttons!!) from Becky
- A Mix n' Match assortment (yes that's an old school Mac+) from Troy
- A box of Australian Tim Tams + secret "better than cookie" formula from Jeremy
There's exactly 12 more hours to get your trade offers in. Send them here. And here's info on the wallet.
Being American most of time, I've never heard of a Tim Tam. After a little research, I found out what the heck these are. Hmmmmmm. They look tasty. Here is 1 thing to do with a Tim Tam to make it even better. I guess I would equate a Tim Tam with an Oreo Cookie (??)
Tim Tam Suck
1. Take a small bite from one corner of your Tim Tam.
2. Turn your Tim Tam around and take a bite from the opposite corner.
3. Insert one bitten corner of your Tim Tam into a cup of tea or coffee.
4. Suck hard, drawing the liquid through the biscuit and into your mouth.
5. Quickly pop the rest of the Tim Tam into your mouth before it disintegrates.
WARNING
Don’t attempt this with very hot liquid, or in front of someone you’re trying to impress.
Posted by: Goatopolis at November 4, 2004 8:19 PMHow will you ever pick? I mean, it'd be easy for me: the Cube, broken or otherwise. That's it. I need to develop a sweet-ass trade contest. It'll have two items, however, so I can snag some pumpkin preserves from the runner-up.
Posted by: C. A. Childers at November 4, 2004 10:24 PMGoat, you are only American "most" of the time? Consider yourself lucky. Not that I don't love America, because I do, I just think we would love it more if we experienced other countries more.
I like your theory. Drawing the liquid through the biscuit with air pressure would change the consistency of both, how very Alton Brown of you.
and C.A. it is hard to choose. I feel like every offer is awesome in it's own unique way. A note about the cube, the case was smashed by burglers, so it's probably not intact. Maybe that would make the choice not so clear cut for you?

I am feeling generous (and my larder is over flowing) so email me your address and a glass of the finest pumpkin preserve will wing its way over the big pond.
pay it forward, man :)

I grew up near the border of Canada (NE Montana). I consider myself an American with a heavy Canuck influence. All my friends grew up with SNL, I grew up with SCTV and later the Kids in the Hall. As well as those kooky games Canadians play (Curling, Hockey, Canadian Football).
Sorry to get off topic on the thread....
Posted by: Goatopolis at November 5, 2004 5:04 PMSweet. You bet I'll send you my email. I can taste the preserves already. Now...how to pay it forward.
