The BBC has taken the old text-based Hitchhiker's Guide game you used to play in the library at school, and jazzed it up with a bulky interface and lumpy graphics.

I made it 19 moves before I was crushed by my collapsing house.

maybe you'll do better. (via boingboing)

Your house was bulldozed?? You have to lie down in front of the bulldozer in order to get him to stop. He won't run you over.

I know, but I didn't even get out of the bedroom before I got crushed. I was busy typing "get toothbrush" and "wear dressing gown" and "open pockets." You have to be efficient with your moves in the begining, clearly, I was not.

Ah, i see. The command "Get all" works good, too. But, if i remember correctly , there's a point later in the game where that's not such a hot idea.
